The Cathedral is open every Sunday for worship all year round. The Cathedral's main tourist season runs from the 1st May to 30th September when it is open daily for visitors. Additional October opening weekends only.

St Brigid’s Cathedral is located less than an hour from Ireland’s capital city, Dublin and the largest international airport on the island. It has superb rail, bus and motorway access, which directly connects it to the island of Ireland’s largest cities.

Train

Trains run approximately every hour, every day from Dublin Heuston Station to Kildare Station. The journey can vary between 30-45 minutes in length. Kildare Station can also be accessed by train from Cork, Galway, Limerick, Ennis, Tralee, Waterford, Westport, Ballina and Portlaoise. It is approximately a 10 minute walk from Kildare Station to the Cathedral. For train times and prices see www.irishrail.ie.

Bus

Dublin Coach stops at Market Square outside the Cathedral approximately every thirty minutes, every day. Other providers include Kenneally's Bus Service which stops outside Kildare Village, only a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral. The 883 bus route also serves the locality of County Kildare. Please check with relevant websites for bus times and prices.

Car

Kildare is easily accessible by car. It is located just off the M7 motorway, at junction 13, just 30 minutes drive from the M50 motorway in Dublin. Kildare has superb motorway access to the south and south west of Ireland, especially Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Waterford and Kilkenny.
