In 1980 the late John Paterson, Dean of St. Brigid’s Cathedral re-formed a choir to sing the Easter services. A competent musician and organist he directed the music himself, drawing its members both from the county and a wider area. The choir today consists of some 25 members and continues to lead the Worship at the major church festivals.
